The moment we’ve all been waiting for is almost here!
A detailed summary of the proposed amendments to the regulations under the Condominium Act was just released for review and comment.
The four key areas are:
- Communications from Corporations to Owners and Mortgagees
- Mandatory Disclosures and Training for Directors
- Meetings and Voting
- Record Retention and Access
A brief summary and more details about the proposed in-force dates (as early as July 1, 2017) are now posted on Ontario’s Regulatory Registry. A draft of the proposed regulation will be posted on the Registry as soon as it becomes available.
The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services welcomes feedback on the summary. Stay tuned to our blog for further updates and a link to the proposed regulations once posted.
