For months now, condo lawyers have been advising managers, board members and condo owners on how to complete the proxy form. In speaking to both managers and directors, the proxy form seems to be at the top of the list of one of the most complicated forms introduced with the Amendments to the Condominium Act. Although efforts have been made to simplify the form, the process of completing a proxy and explaining how to complete a proxy form is still a time consuming and frustrating process.
This is why going the route of implementing electronic voting is so important. As of November 2017, electronic voting can now be offered by condominium corporations.
